I’m Christmas shopping online, and all that I have left are a 4 year old boy and a 6 year old boy. They both love spiderman and all of the characters associated with him. I want some good gift ideas that would make their Christmas special. They already have the costumes, and I would like to stay away from the “toy” thing (they have plenty of spiderman toys). I plan to spend between 50 and 60 dollars on each child, and get them at least two gifts. Any ideas?

Do they have the movies? Maybe you could buy all of them. Or you could go with one of the following:

My husband and I are not seeing eye to eye on this. He always says I spend way to much on our kids. So this year he is wanting me only to spend $500 on each of our kids. One is 15 the other is 10. I really feel they will be disappointed and I could not take that not on Christmas. The $500 is to be on gifts from us and Santa. What is the average amount people spend? If they get one big thing I couldnt get them anything else.

I had four children. We spent less than two hundred dollars each on them. Mine are adults now. I get them small token gifts like candle sets or desk sets and give them fifty dollars each. I still buy clothes for my two youngest ones who are 18 and 21 too. They are young enough to still need financial support from Mom and Dad.

Last year I got each child a new robe, the year before was freshwater pearls for the girls and pocket watches for the guys. I buy for my Daughters-in-Law too.

I would not spend five hundred dollars per child or more.

For Christmas, my best friend and I have decided to make each other Christmas gifts rather than buy them. We're both in our late teens. I'm quite arty and can do most crafts. Does anyone have any suggestions?

here's a bunch of good ideas and links

She has an ipod, loves music/movies, and is going to be moving soon, so nothing to big. Also she never helps us out with gift ideas, but our family is anti money/gift cards as gifts. Help! I can give any details asked.

Since she's moving soon– what about a gift with a photo of you and her? You could just put it in a nice frame and write a personal note on the back, Or you could do a printed photo gift like a mouspad, mug, ornament, etc. (there are lots of places you can do this– www.discountphotogifts.com, www.cafepress.com, www.zazzle.com, www.snapfish.com, www.kodakgallery.com).

I love buying people gifts for Christmas! I'm a college student so that means that my funds are low! I would like to get my boyfriend a lot because he spends a lot of money on me but, I dont want to spend "a lot" of money. How do I work this out?

Think thoughtful gifts rather than expensive ….notice the little things he might need.
I remember getting my ex one of those bath robes that only goes around the mans waist ( sought of like a big towel with Velcro) He loved it for many years and it was CHEAP !
Do you have any craft skills??? How about making him something … Can I suggest a no sew fleece blanket or pillow ???There really cute, warm and you can buy the fleece cheaply at Walmart. here some instructions http://www.howtoadvice.com/Preview/Vuhwjb
he res one with pictures http://www.womenbygrace.com/home006.html
How about a nice picture frame with a nice picture of you two…
You can get creative and make him up some "coupons" they could be for love , snuggles, or a home cooked meal.
how about making him a nice tin of homemade chocolate chip cookies?

My sister is turning 33 this Thursday and is in San Francisco on business till Friday evening. She is staying near Santana Row. We would like to have a gift delivered to her hotel, and would like it to be for a store (gift certificate) or an actual item from a store in Santana Row. She is newly divorced. Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated! Whatever gift we choose needs to be small enough to be carried back in a suitcase or a purse, or it needs to be consumed in SF.

This is a great site online that I have bought gift and gift baskets from before…she can either consumer or carry back…there are 100s of options on this site…
